It’s highly questionable to miss cherry gardens, freshness, serenity and rich history of Ziarat on your trip to Quetta. Abode to some of the oldest (nearly 5000 years) Junipers trees, Ziarat contributes to adding a reason to Pakistan’s specialty- Oldest and Largest Juniper Forest. Situated 133 km from Quetta at an altitude of 2449 meters above sea level, Ziarat derived its name from the shrine of Baba Kharwari, a highly esteemed saint of the area. The shrine is located about 9 km south of Ziarat town.
Climate & Weather
Ziarat has a cold semi-arid climate. Temperatures in December and January often exceed -15 °C. Most of the city’s precipitation is in the form of snow.
