The roads to Mirpur, Azad Kashmir, are jeepable and fairly smooth. You can hire a car to travel to Kashmir or go by buses because a lot of companies offer travel packages, making it easy for tourists to travel to Azad Kashmir. There are several transport facilities available in AJK, and the road here is smooth. Some companies offer travel packages, and you can even hire cars to travel to AJK. There are also buses from Islamabad and Rawalpindi that go here but are of the economic variety. Within Mirpur cabs and Rickshaws are available for hire.
