In summers, Kaghan and Naran can be warm. The valley gets quite a lot of rainfall throughout the year, which keeps the Kunhar river flowing. However, during the winter months, there is snowfall that blocks the roads to Naran and from Naran to Babusar pass. The average annual temperature is 10.1 °C and the average annual rainfall is 803 mm. The snow-free season is from July to October, although the road to Naran becomes clear in May. In recent years, with warmer temperatures, the roads open somewhat earlier and stay clear up to a month longer. Be sure to take sweaters and jackets.
