At an elevation of up to 7500 ft, Swat is generally a cold area. During winter, the temperature in Swat remains between -2 and 2 degrees Celsius. Temperatures are below freezing from December to February. It can get pretty warm in July, in the lowest area of the valley, temperatures go up to 32 degrees Celsius. April to May is pleasant cool when the mountains and ground have greenery on them. For snow and Ice, January is the coldest month.

It rains heavily in the monsoon season, and lighter rains fall in December. From January to February you can expect snowfall.
