The highest point on the Karakoram Highway is adorned with a beautiful Khunjerab Pass at an elevation of 4.733m (15,528ft) above the sea level. Located at the northern border of Pakistan with China, Khunjerab is said to be the highest border-crossing in the world. Although the pass is indeed a wondrous sight but is inaccessible during the rainy season by all vehicles except large trucks.
