Chitral- The Land of Majestic Mountains

Kalash Valley

Kalash is a Valley located 34 km away from Chitral, home to an ethnic community, the Kalash people who are the last Pagans in Pakistan. It is one of the most mysterious places in Pakistan due to its unique indigenous culture. Here you will find plenty of girls wearing exotic and colorful dresses which shows their commitment to keeping their tradition. However, the Kalash culture is in danger of extinction because many converted to Islam, abandoning their pagan beliefs. Best time to visit the valley is from April to July when the people of Kalash celebrate their three different festivals.
