1. Chilam Joshi Festivals:

The 04 Days Chilam Joshi festival, celebrated in May, is one of the top cultural festivals. It starts at Rumbur valley and then moves on to the other valleys. The festival attempts to highlight the cultural richness and promotes peace. People of Kalash valley love music and dance on the beat of drums. Women dance in a circle on different songs. The festival gives a glimpse of the traditional festivity.

2. Uchal Festival:

Uchal Festival is a thanksgiving occasion for the harvest of the wheat crop in the valleys of Bumburate, Birir and Rumbur. It is celebrated in Autumn with singing, dancing and expressing gratefulness to the nature for blessing them with barley and wheat harvest season every year in August. The festival is marked by distributing special foods, cheese, and buttermilk for the event. Women in traditional dresses perform dances. During the festival prayers, a procession is made to a high plateau outside the village in Balangkuru where the long night of dancing begins.

3. Chomos Festival:

Chomos is considered to be the longest and the most sacred event starting from the beginning of December until the end of the month. It is the most impressive event of all lasting 10 days. The festival gives a warm welcome to the New Year and includes famous rituals of the tribe; sheeshao (purification day) and goshang. The Kalashi men and women dance around the fire to the rhythm of the drum beat and folk songs.
